I AM SO HAPPY TO GET THIS DONE

So I was really excited when I found out the Circus arc was going to be animated, because it was by far my favourite one. I actually picked the anime up a week late cos I forgot when it was starting HAHA
I started this probably around episode 2~3 and it's taken me this many weeks to finish it amg IM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY FINISH IT

At first I was aiming for a sort of art nouveau thing but it evolved on its own. I decided not to dull down the colours because. Book of Circus, man, it has to be colourful!

Book of Circus is so amazing for so many reasons... for one, it's basically everything people love about Kuroshitsuji packed into one handy arc - pretty cast, Ciel running a dangerous errand for the queen, Sebastian actually being more demon than butler, the Phantomhive servants being badass, the shinigami, Ciel's past and PTSD, and a whole lot of misunderstandings and corruption. And it's been beautifully wrapped in a circus theme?!?! //SCREAmS

It was an absolute joy (and pain) to draw the whole circus cast, and I'm still rather upset it was harder to find references for Jumbo. I GET THAT HE'S NOT "PRETTY" BUT HE'S STILL VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NOAH'S ARK CREW AMG
I think Ciel or Beast was my favourite to draw, Doll's headgear was a total pain and I somehow drew Peter's hat and makeup on the wrong side at first somehow...

I ended up drawing Emily (banana snake) because I seriously didnt' know what any of Snake's other ones look like sob also I dont think Emily is actually that big //cries

The bg motif is based off the ones seen in the OP because WOW THEY WERE PRETTY?!?

I'm still upset about the ending but eh I knew it was coming. IT WAS JUST REALLY EMOTIONAL--
