Some of my thoughts on Marinette's personality and her attitude towards being LADYBUG:
I think Marinette is a really sweet girl who just doesn't have a lot of luck. Considering the two slip-ups she has at the start of the trailer (and considering her reaction after getting splashed by water) it seems like she's pretty used to having these bad things happen to her.
... Until she meets her magical companion, who gives her the power of good luck, which explains why she is so excited when she transforms into LADYBUG.
The synopsis also states she'll keep this power if she uses it 'altruistically' aka not for herself. And while I am sure this is a particularly difficult condition to live by, Marinette probably has more difficulty than others in keeping this rule because she enjoys having this new-found good luck. For it to be explicitly mentioned in the synopsis might indicate that this is one of the biggest issues Marinette has as LADYBUG (thus supporting the idea of her being an unlucky person to begin with).
