PJA: Who's Bucky? - A fan's emotional progression

SO GUESS WHO'S OFF HIATUS


This 4koma literally described my fangirl life for the last month or so. Since Winter Soldier... oh gosh, it's just ruined my life.

Every single time I come across anything Captain America I just have the instinct to tear up because. BUCKY OF COURSE OH MY GOSH
FEELS. EVERYWHERE. TEARS. EVERYWHERE. UGH.

It also came as a (delightful?) surprise to me that the character of the Winter Soldier is actually a very recent addition, (2006) so I scouted down his first comic appearance - Ed Brubaker's run of Captain America. And the feels. Lovingly written.
I really do recommend reading it but be warned it's feels heavy and pretty intensive... and parts are very different from the cinematic-verse, so there's that to get used to as well--
Just seeing Bucky deny Steve again and again just really hurt. A lot. Not to mention the mental dialogue of the two it's just really heartbreaking ;A;
AND JUST WHAT HAPPENS AFTER... IT'S LIKELY MARVEL'S GONNA FOLLOW UP ON THIS PLOTLINE FOR THE CINEMATIC VERSE AND IM SITTING HERE CRYING OVER IT AGAIN BECAUSE I DONT WANT IT TO GO DOWN EXACTLY LIKE THAT. THERE ARE THINGS I DONT WANT SOLIDIFIED/CANON'D IN THE CINEMATIC UNIVERSE. J-JUST LET ME LIVE IN THE POSITIVITY THAT IS POST-WINTER SOLDIER FANCOMICS THANKS...

JUST. BUCKY AND STEVE BROTP FOREVER PLEASE

It's really ruined me for watching the first Cap movie just I pretty much cried whenever the two were on screen together and just afterwards when Bucky's gone and Steve goes on a rampage UGH MY KOKORO HELP

I don't know if anyone else has had such a (violent?) reaction to Bucky and the Winter Soldier... I knew next to nothing about Cap's universe going in to watch it that day and UGHHH IT WAS WRITTEN SO WELL AND UGHHHH
