Seth could not stop staring at the two men across the arena. To one side, was Dark Knight Sangst, to the other, the mercenary Donner. Like both his previous opponents, they were older, more experienced, and more armoured. The boy tried not to outwardly show his fear, holding a brave face. He didn’t want them to know he was indeed, quite terrified about what might go down today. Seth took deep breaths to calm his heartbeat. He had his weapons all ready, he had dug up as much information about the other fighters, he had trained (too much). In reality, there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. He let his final cares and worries out with one last huff, before planting a smirk on his face. Drawing his weapons, he donned his mask and waited. He had missed a glare from Donner moments earlier, now curious about what the man wanted from him. But he had lost attention in the boy, and the remaining opponent had too, drawn his weapons.

In an instant, a massive grey blur was heading towards him. He was not prepared for such speed and agility in armour! The boy began to dodge, but it was too late. Ready to brace himself for the sword coming down at him, he tried to raise his arms in defense, shutting his eyes in anticipation of the pain. He instead heard the clanging of blades, not of dull noise of cutting flesh and though he saw splashes of red across his vision, they were from the clothes of the GALLADE, and not blood. Donner was most definitely fast, perhaps even on par, maybe even faster than Seth. Sangst’s strike was so strong that the boy could almost feel its power rippling through Donner’s body, resonating through the ground. The two speedsters finally exchanged their intentions, deciding to work together against the Dark Knight. If they were to fight separately, the heavily armoured man would otherwise trample on them as he would with the arena dust.

Seth was relieved that he had him as an ally, but kept his wits about him. If it were a ploy to let his guard drop, Seth was determined not to let it succeed. Smirking to his new partner, two pairs of red eyes dived in for strikes.

I'm sorry for being so simplistic with the things I do... i-it's what I do best ;u;

I had to dig through a mountain of simply awesome artwork to use as reference materials ;u; Unfortunately I couldn't find any of the back of Sangst's armour so I made it up (though I don't think the details are obvious here anyway)

Thank you to everyone who attended the stream of this! You guys kept me focused, believe it or not XD

And to be honest, while it was really fun to draw Donner, I had lots of pain with Sangst ;u; probably why I don't have an armoured character. It's made me appreciate how much patience you must have, Cat!

Mmm about the title on this one... I couldn't find an appropriate battle phrase that sounded good and was short enough. So instead, it's Fast Guard, a name of a pokemon move which protects the user's team from opponent attacks. That at least was appropriate.
